GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
● You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
● Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
● If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
● Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
We will also provide a list of fees in the intake paperwork that may incur throughout your care at SOLIS FAMILY THERAPY that are in addition to direct psychotherapy services and fees. These fees may occur due to the following (not an exhaustive list): Late cancellation/no show fee, Medical records request, and Subpoena (request to testify).
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

In cases of financial hardship, and depending on the availability of such slots, I offer partially-reduced (or, “sliding scale”) fees for therapeutic services. This is on a case-by-case basis and is done with the intention of providing/continuing services with those in need and/or with limited access to services. Should the reduced fee still exceed your ability to pay, I am happy to help you find services that fit within your budget.
At this time, my sliding scale spots are full. If you require a lower fee, I recommend searching through Open Path Collective, a directory of therapists offering services for $40-80 per session.

Sessions cancelled less than 24 hours in advance must be paid for in full. No shows will be charged the full rate.

“No matter how sophisticated our minds may be, the fact remains that their basic contents-what we think, believe consciously or unconsciously, feel or are prevented from feeling-powerfully affect our bodies, for better or for worse. Conversely, what our bodies experience from conception onward cannot but affect how we think, feel, perceive and behave.”
